Description

Maple #1 Common Grade (2nd Grade) Unfinished Solid Hardwood Flooring will have some more natural variations from board to board in appearance. Expect the flooring to contain dime-sized knots and small surface mineral streaks sporadic throughout the flooring. Our Maple unfinished solid wood flooring is milled by MFMA (Maple Flooring Manufactures Association) Standards allowing for very small board to board variation in color. Hardwood Floor Depot provides Maple #1 Common Grade that is also processed to NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) Rules allowing exceptionally slight character marks yet is known to be extremely predictable in overall color and grain variety throughout the entire wood flooring.

Maple flooring is harder and more durable than almost any other type of hardwood flooring and is great for high traffic areas. Hardwood Floor Depot works solely with NWFA certified manufacturers that start the milling process with wood that is kiln dried for 30 days at 350 degrees giving more prominent strength and quality to our material. Maple hardwood flooring is the second strongest Domestic wood available. Hardwood Floor Depot offers our Maple #1 Common Grade flooring in 1’-7’ random length bundles. Average lengths will be between 2 ¾’-3’ with longer lengths available at request. The flooring will have a four-sided tongue and groove for ease of installation. Recommended waste factor for this grade is between 8%-10%.
